Antebellum Red 2015
Style: Age-worthy, Medium-bodied, Dry Finish
Aromas: cherry cola, leather
Flavors: cherry cola, wild blackberries and a hint of TN whiskey.
This wine was made from a blend of four different red wine grapes: our estate grown Chambourcin, Cabernet Sauvignon from Lodi, California, and Tennessee grown Norton and Noiret. The blend was aged in French oak barrels for one year, then aged an additional nine months in just-emptied TN whiskey barrels. Whiskey barrel aging mellows the wine dramatically and infuses it with extra layers of delicious complexity.
BBQ, smoked meats, steaks, savory dishes, dark chocolate
