Red Fox Red 2016
Aromatic notes of wild strawberry and black tea are followed by flavors of mixed berries, vanilla and black plum.
88% California, 7% Washington State, 5% Tennessee
The Sangiovese, Petite Sirah and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes were grown at S&L Vineyards near Lodi, CA, in the northern portion of California's Central Valley. The Chambourcin was grown here at Arrington Vineyards.
Made primarily from Sangiovese grapes, this blend also includes Petite Sirah, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Chambourcin. After fermentation, the wine is pressed, settled, then aged for 20 months in French, Hungarian and American oak barrels. We blend these grape varieties together to create a silky smooth medium bodied red wine with delicious red berry flavors and a touch of oak on the finish.
Very versatile, goes well with pasta and Italian recipes, cheeses, grilled meats, lamb, picnic fare.
