This semi sweet Symphony varietal wine was made from grapes grown near Lodi, California. This wine was fermented in 100% stainless still tanks to retain its natural fresh fruit flavors. 15% Muscat Canelli was added to enhance aromatic complexity.

The Symphony grape was created by the late Dr. Harold Olmo, professor of viticulture at the University of California, Davis. Olmo began breeding grapes in 1948 with the intention of creating new and improved varieties for California. Olmo crossed Muscat of Alexandria with Grenache Gris and one of the resulting seedlings was selected, propagated, and then grown and tested for years in various vineyards throughout California. By 1981, that selection was named “Symphony” and released for commercial distribution in 1982. As its pedigree suggests, it is an aromatic variety with slightly spicy flavors. Its currently grown mainly near Lodi and in the Sierra Foothills of California.
