Aroma: strawberry rhubarb pie
Flavor: plum, pomegranate, red apple
Style: sweet red wine
56% of the grapes in this wine was Estate grown at AV; 14% from Beau Monde Vineyards in Martin, TN; 13% from Chisholm Vineyards in Arrington, TN; 10% from White Squirrel Winery in Kenton, TN; and the Sangiovese grapes were grown in Lodi, CA.
Made from Chambourcin, Sangiovese and Corot Noir grapes. This wine was made like a rosé but has much more residual sugar and a deeper color. The grapes were cold soaked for a short time to enhance the color of the juice prior to a cold fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Finished with residual sugar to balance its juicy red fruit flavors.
Summertime/picnic wine, goes well with fruit salad, picnic foods and spicy dishes.
